I love each season and Spring is no exception. I’m tired of the colder days, and fewer daylight hours. The birds are singing, flowers are being planted, trees are budding and there is a renewal spirit in the air. Nature brings the message that there truly is a circle of life.
I opted this year to go minimalistic with décor for my Spring decorations. White on white with a splash of green. The Luminara flameless candle that placed on my mantle flickers and gives off a smoothing glow. I love this brand, but they can be expensive. I will link the candle below and other less expensive options as well.
Bunnies are adorable and have quite the personality. I had two bunnies as pets when I was growing up and they definitely had personality. Peter Rabbit and Fluffy were both white bunnies. I guess that’s one reason I always gravitate toward any bunny decoration. Peonies and Hydrangea are some of my ultimate favorite flowers. I buy the artificial blooms in bulk at Hobby Lobby or Amazon and cut the stems with a small wire cutter (borrowed from my husband’s toolbox) to the length needed for each placement. I think the white and green added a subtle touch of beauty. Keeping with the white on white theme I dressed up a large white platter with white ceramic pitchers and an old-time white glass milk bottle with swing top. The glass milk jug was from our local grocery store for chocolate milk. I bought it for my husband to drink, knowing I could use it for decoration afterward – yep, always thinking! To spruce up the arrangement, I added some artificial flowers.
I’m having fun with my letter board – probably too much fun. I am trying to change up the saying with the season and having a blast looking up quotes to use that are unique. I have had the white porcelain birds and tea light holder forever, so not sure where I bought them. All my glass vases are from Hobby Lobby, as well as the artificial greenery. I go a little crazy when they have a 50% off sale on floral.
There you have it – easy, fun, simple and minimal Spring décor. Hope you love Spring for the new life it brings. Have fun playing with décor ideas, colors and mixing the old with the new. Just for kicks: Google “fun bunny décor” – you’ll be surprised the cuteness it brings. Until next time, go out and spread some zing!!
